of Verona released their debut album, The White Apple, in 2012 that was written, produced and mixed by the band at their Los Angeles studio. The album is a collection of songs about realizing what is real and what is an illusion and learning to tell the difference; It's about letting go of the things that cannot be changed. The name of Verona comes from Shakespeare’s earliest known play, Two Gentlemen of Verona, which has the smallest cast of any of the Shakespeare plays, yet survived over the years on the sheer virtue of its story.
of Verona's sound can best be described as a blend of alternative pop with an electro soul heartbeat. Their song Dark In My Imagination has received play on many tastemaker stations such as KCRW, KROQ and WNYC, has over 1 Million plays on SoundCloud, over 10 Million plays on Spotify, over 35 Million views on You Tube and was #1 on the influential Hype Machine popular chart in Feb 2015 for four days.
The band also puts on an epic live show with a hypnotic visual element. They have played a number of notable events including Lollapalooza, Culture Collide Festival, the Summerfest Music Festival, MTV’s Woodies Festival, Live In The Vineyard, SXSW and Life Is Beautiful Las Vegas Festival. Regarding their live show, the Examiner recently stated: “It has been said in the past that some bands create a wall of sound; of Verona creates a tsunami of sound that crashes down all around the venue, sweeping the audience away in the pure pleasure of the moment.”
of Verona have had over 35 TV synchs since the release of their album on shows such as Grimm, Grey’s Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Lucious, Teen Wolf, and Stalker.
